Adobe - Namibia
Location: Erindi Private Game Reserve, Namibia
Medium: Photography & Film
Client: Adobe Brasil
Main Character: Leonardo Cavazzana
Team: Ricardo Braz, Leo, Cam Stables, Carel Steenkamp, Brian Leite, Angela Christmann
Overview
At the heart of the project was Leo’s creative process.
Creation does not end in the field — it continues in the process.
Adobe’s tools were positioned not as technical solutions, but as companions to Leo’s intuition, allowing the creative flow to move seamlessly from lived experience to final image.
The story unfolded through:
-
Leo’s time in the field
-
Wildlife and landscape photography shaped by years of familiarity
-
Documentary-style filmmaking
-
A three-episode narrative series
-
Social storytelling
-
A physical exhibition in Brazil presenting seven years of Leo’s work in Namibia
The result was a layered portrait of an artist, a place, and the passage of time between them.
Approach
Returning to the same place year after year builds intimacy.
For Leo, this wasn’t about chasing rare encounters, but about recognizing patterns, understanding rhythm, and accepting impermanence. Animals once photographed were no longer there. Landscapes felt familiar, yet transformed. The work grew quieter, more intentional.
Photography and film followed a documentary sensibility rooted in:
-
Patience and waiting
-
Trust in intuition
-
Respect for natural cycles
-
Acceptance of the “almost” moments that define wildlife photography
Post-production became a crucial extension of Leo’s vision — not as correction, but as translation of feeling, shaping images to reflect the emotional truth of the experience.
Deliverables
-
Curated photographic series
-
Short film centered on Leo’s journey
-
Three-episode storytelling series
-
Social media content
-
Exhibition-ready imagery
-
Supporting visuals for Adobe’s communication channels
Outcome
The project resulted in a deeply personal body of work that positioned Adobe alongside:
-
Long-term creative commitment
-
Emotional, process-driven storytelling
-
Respect for artistic rhythm
-
Authentic expression over spectacle
Why this project matters
This project shows what becomes possible when an artist stays long enough to listen.
Through Leo’s seven-year relationship with Erindi, the work moved beyond documentation into connection. It demonstrates how storytelling matures over time — and how meaningful creative partnerships can help carry those stories forward with care.
Some stories only reveal themselves when you return.
